Construction of a new Highway Facility. The building is a pre-engineered wood framed building (approximately 6,600 SF) and will include: metal panel roof and wall panels, partial masonry veneer block walls, and insulated overhead garage doors. The garage area includes 4 total parking bays and a storage mezzanine. The administrative space includes an office, break room, storage room and locker room/restrooms. Site improvements will include grading, sub-surface utilities and structures, paving, and exterior lighting. The project will have four (4) prime contracts. General Construction will include site, architectural and structural construction. Electrical, plumbing/fire protection and mechanical (HVAC) construction are also included in the scope of work.

In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5‐A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the
construction of the Hoosick Falls Highway Garage will be received by Village of Hoosick Falls, at the office of the Village of Hoosick Falls, Municipal Building, 24 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, New York 12090, until 2:00 PM local time on July 2, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

2. For a non‐refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with
electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon
with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and
handling costs.
3. For a non‐refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom, checks made payable to Avalon. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder’s active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.

The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes.

Bidding Documents also may be examined at the offices of MRB Group, and the Village of Hoosick Falls, Municipal Building, 24 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, New York 12090, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM; or online through internet based construction information subscription services.

The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Village of Hoosick Falls, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

The Village of Hoosick Falls, Rensselaer County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.
Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to
be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.
